Wedding fayres and open days are a fantastic source of inspiration and a great way to meet suppliers and gather ideas. A wedding show is useful at any stage of the planning process. However we understand that if you haven’t attended one before, it can sometimes be daunting and a little overwhelming.

With the Heaton House Farm Wedding Fayre just a few weeks away, we share our tips and advice about how to make the most of your visit.

1. Be Prepared, Think Ahead
Try to list any questions you may have beforehand, wedding fayres are busy and exciting and the hustle and bustle may result in you leaving all your thoughts at home! It is useful to have something to refer to.

You will find wedding experts and suppliers will be willing and eager to answer your questions so bring your notebook and try to get as much advice as you can on the day. If you fancy being extra prepared, why not set up a special email account especially for wedding planning? That way, you can give this to any suppliers from whom you are interested in receiving further information.

2. Bring Somebody With You
Make the day even more fun by bringing along a family member or friend. You will find it useful to have somebody to bounce ideas off.

Grooms should come along too, whilst wedding fayres may seem like a female paradise, we also see many grooms having a ball! Why not split the jobs? If the bride is more keen on finding dress ideas and floral styling, the groom may wish to hunt out the ideal entertainer, wedding car or photographer. But everybody seems to be united when it comes to tasting the cake!

3. The Early Bird Catches the Worm!
Look to arrive early in order to make the most of the endless amount of products and services available. Aim to leave the event feeling satisfied that you have gained as much information and advice as possible. Arriving in good time means you can relax and get the most out of your day. Stop, enjoy a drink and a chat, review your notes and peruse the stalls.
